John Alec Entwistle est un bassiste de rock anglais né le 9 octobre 1944 à Chiswick, dans la banlieue de Londres et mort le 27 juin 2002 à Las Vegas. Connu principalement, pour avoir été le bassiste du groupe mythique The Who, il fait partie de ces musiciens de légende dont la virtuosité et la créativité ont énormément apporté au monde de la basse.

The legend has been that Entwistle, after kicking a cocaine habit, said, “Aw one more snort for old time’s sake” before a Who tour was to start and that did him in.

Inspired by his young son Christopher’s connect-the-dots coloring book John drew caricatures of Pete, Roger, Keith and himself. Strategically placing numbers and dots to form their bodies, John made sure that there was a bit of humor hidden in the art.
