Four Dwellings Academy has an agreed Published Admission Number (PAN) of 120 for entry into Year 7. The Academy will accordingly admit at least 120 pupils in the relevant age group each year if sufficient applications are received. All applications will be admitted if 120 or fewer apply. The old Upper School building on Dwellings Lane was opened in 1954 by Florence Horsbrugh, Minister of Education as the Four Dwellings Girls' School and catered for 600 pupils.
