PARTICIPATION IS A PRIVILEGE. Participation on Saint Monica’s athletic teams is not a right of all students, but rather a privilege afforded to selected individuals who possess the ability, attitude, academic standing, disposition, cooperative spirit and desire to represent the student body and school community in a manner that reflects favorably upon the reputation of Saint Monica Preparatory.

An idea of a school was conceived in Ireland by the Sisters of the Holy Faith, and so St. Monica’s Prep was born in Trinidad in 1959. Founded and standing in its FAITH, this school exudes the passion and commitment of TEAMSMP as it welcomes anyone who enters its gates.
Saint Monica Preparatory Lower School’s notable faculty and staff are impressively qualified and dedicated. Our principal holds an Ed.D. in Catholic School Leadership for Social Justice. Every teacher possesses a graduate degree in a specialized field of education in addition to a State Teacher’s Credential and an Archdiocesan Certificate to teach Religion.

This is an exciting time for St. Monica’s largest ministry: the former St. Monica Elementary School (founded in 1930) and St. Monica High School (founded in 1937) are consolidating into Saint Monica Preparatory, a TK-12 school. This change is the outcome of a strategic planning process that began in the fall of 2020.
Especially cherished at Saint Monica Preparatory are our unique and memorable retreat opportunities, which we offer to all grade levels.
