School Day. Lessons are spread over a two-week period of time, giving learners a Week 1 and a Week 2 timetable which is repeated throughout the school year. Upton-by-Chester High School meets the expected 32.5 hours per week of compulsory time in school. The exact timings of lessons, breaks and lunch times are as follows: Movement Bell at 8.35am.
Curriculum Aims. The intent of the curriculum in Upton-by-Chester High School is supported by the vision of the school. We are implementing, and constantly refining a curriculum, which will support our learners to shape the future. This means that they have the knowledge, skills and understanding to be active citizens in a global community.

The school uniform has been the product of widespread consultation and been approved by the Governors. It is important that the uniform is smart, simple, easily understood and easily available. Our uniform policy complies with guidance from the Office of Fair Trading. Governors review the school uniform annually.
