Paul Van Himst is the footballer with the longest list of achievements in Belgium: with Anderlecht he was champion eight times and cupwinner four times. Three times he was Belgium's top scorer, four times winning "De Golden Schoen", scoring 235 goals in competition football and 30 goals for the national team.
Paul van Himst (Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, 2 d'octubre, 1943) fou un destacat futbolista belga i posterior entrenador. La major part de la seva trajectòria la va viure al RSC Anderlecht, on va guanyar 8 lligues belgues. Posteriorment jugà al RWDM (un altre club de Brussel·les) i a l'Eendracht Aalst, aleshores a la segona divisió.

2 de oct. de 2023 · Paul Van Himst blaast 80 kaarsjes uit. In de jaren 60 en 70 werd hij acht keer kampioen met Anderlecht en hij won in die periode ook vier keer de Gouden Schoen. Paul gaat nog altijd kijken naar alle thuiswedstrijden van zijn oude club, maar geniet het meest van de tijd die hij doorbrengt met zijn zes kleinkinderen.
