Johann Georg Leopold Mozart (født 14. november 1719 i Augsburg, død 28. maj 1787) var en tysk komponist og violinist. I samtiden blev Leopold Mozart regnet som en af tidens betydelige musikere. Han brugte meget af sit liv på at uddanne sine børn Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart og Anna Mozart.

November 14 marks the 300 th anniversary of the birth of Johann Georg Leopold Mozart, composer, violinist, teacher, theorist, and one of music’s most famous stage parents. He is best known, of course, as father, teacher, manager, archivist, and personal secretary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart nació el 27 de enero de 1756 en Salzburgo, en la actual Austria, que en esa época era un arzobispado independiente del Sacro Imperio Romano Germánico.Fue el último hijo de Leopold Mozart, músico al servicio del príncipe arzobispo de Salzburgo.Leopold era el segundo maestro de capilla en la corte del arzobispo aunque fue un experimentado profesor.
