Six prints, forming the set A Harlots Progress. The six prints telling the cautionary story of Moll Hackabout, a harlot, were published in April 1732, the first of Hogarth’s ‘Modern Moral Subjects’. Hogarth intended the pictures to stand without accompanying text. The series had 1,240 subscribers and was so popular that pirated versions were quickly issued.

En 2007 apareció en un anuncio para Nescafe. En 2008 apareció como invitado en la serie Hotel Babylon, donde interpretó a Jonah Slaughter.
A Harlot’s Progress (dt.: Der Lebenslauf einer Prostituierten) ist eine Serie von sechs Gemälden und sechs Kupferstichen des englischen Künstlers William Hogarth, die er 1730/1731 und 1732 schuf. Die Gemälde fielen 1755, also noch zu Hogarths Lebzeiten, einem Brand zum Opfer.
3 de mar. de 2016 · A Harlot’s Progress (c 1731) The six paintings from which this series is comprised were completed in 1731, and first appeared in engravings in 1732. Tragically all the paintings were destroyed by fire when at Fonthill House in 1755, so we only have prints from which to study Hogarth’s first serially painted narrative.
