Los Manish Boys grabaron, que sepamos, sólo un single de 1965 en Parlophone con Shel Talmy produciendo. Los temas eran “Pity The Fool”, canción lenta blues con distorsión guitarrera, saxo y buenos punteos que era una versión de Bobby Bland compuesta por Deadric Malone, y “Take My Tip”, composición del propio Bowie , un R&B con trazos jazz y sonido de órgano a lo Zoot Money.

9 de mar. de 2017 · The Manish Boys originally started in 1962 as Band Seven, in Maidstone, Kent. After several personnel changes, they ended up as a six-piece group, and changed their music from pop covers to R'n'B. This lead to a new name, inspired by Muddy Waters' "Manish Boy".
