7 de feb. de 2013 · Miles Davis Quintet – Live In Europe 1969: The Bootleg Series Vol. 2 has been earning great reviews since its release last week and here are more of them! The 3CD/1DVD collection is in stores now. The first volume of this bootleg series of Miles Davis sessions featured the 1967 quintet with Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Tony Williams.
For me, this set creates/completes a live trilogy (of sorts) between Live in Europe 1967 Vol.1, Live in Europe Vol.2 1969 and It's About That Time Live March 7th 1970. I am of course referencing the events leading up to the transformation of Miles as bandleader and cultural sophisticate to that of the Dark Magus.
