Snakebite es un EP del grupo de hard rock Whitesnake, lanzado originalmente en 1978 por Sunburst. El EP, editado en principio como un vinilo de siete pulgadas con 4 canciones (dos por lado), en el Reino Unido y otros países de Europa, es el primer trabajo discográfico de Whitesnake, lanzado previamente a su álbum debut Trouble .
Snakebite was re-released in September 1978 as a Double Extended Play containing four extra studio tracks taken from David Coverdale's second solo album Northwinds. The EP sleeve is entitled David Coverdale's Whitesnake and features photographs of the live band in concert.
Produced by Roger Glover and with the precious help of Micky Moody on guitar, the final half of SNAKEBITE is the best and most mature music Coverdale has ever sung. This is a 1977 rock album, so don't expect any metal guitar virtuosism or high-pitched over-the-top screaming. SNAKEBITE is a collection of good and honest songs.

20 de mar. de 2013 · Side two of the LP had the earlier Northwinds material, produced by ex-Purple bassist Roger Glover. Although Mickey Moody plays on these songs, he’s the only future Whitesnake member present. The tunes are decent enough.
