It’s so ridiculous; it has been such an amazing year. I never would have expected it and in a way it’s kind of a bummer as I will never be able to do that again.

Two-time Olympic Champion and giant slalom legend Ted Ligety announced on Tuesday that he plans to retire from racing after one final appearance at the Alpine World Championships.
