Kurt Diemberger (Villach, 16 de març de 1932) és un alpinista, cineasta, escriptor i conferenciant austríac. És l'única persona viva que ha ascendit per primera vegada dos dels cims de més de 8.000 metres, el Broad Peak el 1957 i el Dhaulagiri el 1960.

Diemberger will be among the guests of honour at the Dhaulagiri Golden Jubilee Celebration in Nepal in mid-May, organized by the Nepal Mountaineering Association.
Kurt Diemberger is one of only two climbers to have made first ascents of two 8000-metre peaks, Broad Peak and Dhaulagiri. A superb mountaineer, the K2 trauma left him physically and emotionally ravaged, but it also marked him out as an instinctive and tenacious survivor.
