6 de mar. de 2017 · Ginger Rogers. Born Virginia Katherine McMath on July 16, 1911, Ginger Rogers was an American actress, dancer, and singer. Known mostly for her dance partnership with Fred Astaire, she appeared in films as well as on stage. She was also featured on radio and television programs throughout much of the 20th century.
Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers had long careers after they had ceased dancing together. Rogers went on to expand her range. She was an excellent comedienne, and in 1940 won an Oscar for her dramatic role in Kitty Foyle. Astaire appeared in over 40 movies, and unlike Rogers, he continued to dance.
