Savan Kotecha. The early portion of Kotecha’s life was spent living in Manassas, Virginia, with two parents who both worked for computer company IBM. In the first half of the 1990s, Kotecha’s family moved to Austin, Texas, which is where he started playing the keyboard and writing his own songs.
