Adamski [əˈdæmski] oder Adam Sky [ˈædəm skaɪ] (* 4. Dezember 1967 in Lymington , Hampshire , England ; eigentlich Adam Tinley ) ist ein britischer Dance - Musiker und Produzent . Bekannt wurde er insbesondere durch das gemeinsam mit Seal geschriebene Lied Killer .
Die markante Synthesizer-Melodie von "Killer" machten den Song zu einem der größten Hits des Jahres 1990 und zu einem Meilenstein der Dance-Musik. Für Adamski und Seal war das übrigens nicht die einzige Zusammenarbeit. 1991 veröffentlichte Adamski sein Debütalbum "Liveandirect", auf dem Seal als Gastsänger zu hören war.
Adamski (real name Adam Tinley) was born December 4th, 1967 in New Forest, England. He tasted minor success with Punk Rock band the Stupid Babies, recording a radio session for John Peel, and was also a member of Post-Punk/Hip Hop band Diskord Datkord in the mid-80s. Adamski developed an interest in House music in the late 80s and began playing live at warehouse parties and raves around London.
29 April 1965: George Adamski’s ashes are interred in Section 43, Grave 295 at Arlington National Cemetery , Arlington, VA. In his obituary in Flying Saucer Review Desmond Leslie wrote: “He gave his utmost to the work and the world will never be quite the same place again, richer for his coming, a little poorer for his going.”.
