Daniel Burnham. One of the early modern city planners, Daniel Hudson Burnham was born on September 4, 1846 in Henderson, New York. He went to Snow’s Swedenborgian Academy and later Central High School. Burnham couldn’t get admission in Yale or Harvard after finishing school so, he finally ended up as a draftsman at an architectural firm.

Daniel Hudson Burnham (4. september 1846 i Henderson i New York, USA – 1. juni 1912 i Heidelberg, Tyskland) var en amerikansk arkitekt og byplanlægger.Han arbejdede for det meste i Chicago og er særlig kendt for sine skyskrabere.. Han og hans arkitektfirma, Burnham and Root, tegnede en af de første amerikanske skyskrabere: Frimurertempelbygningen i Chicago.
Daniel Hudson Burnham (né le 4 septembre 1846 à Henderson, dans l'État de New York - mort le 1 er juin 1912 à Heidelberg en Grand-duché de Bade) est un architecte et urbaniste américain. Il est à l'origine notamment du Plan de Chicago de 1909 [ 1 ] , plus connu sous le nom de « Plan Burnham ».
