Kiril Pejčinović (ispravnije je Ćiril) rođen je u selu Tearce kod Tetova, 1771. godine, u srpskoj porodici, koja je pripadala rodu Dojčinoi čije su krsne slave Alimpije Stolnik i Đurđevdan. Svetovno ime nije poznato, već samo njegovo monaško ime Kiril.

She is the second woman in this position after the French Catherine Lalumière (1989-1994) and succeeds Thorbjørn Jagland (Norway) as head of the Organisation since 2009.
