CAS Advising supports students until they declare a major, at which point the student is assigned a departmental advisor within the major. Students who submit TOEFL scores or other proof of English language proficiency as part of their applications for admission to Boston University will be placed into CAS WR 111, WR 112, or WR 120, based on their performance on a writing placement. Students who are not required to take the writing placement will be placed into CAS WR 120.
