It would be so easy to focus on Jonny Lang's age at the time of recording Smokin'. After all some 13/14 year olds struggle spelling the word blues at that age, never mind contemplate playing it. But, because I was introduced to Lang almost a decade after this debut album, all I can do is weep for what might have been.
