She jumped to Roulette in the early '60s and recorded pop songs, three of which are included here. Washington was an unforgettable singer and The Definitive Dinah Washington shows just why that is so. Highly recommended.
31 de may. de 2012 · For 20 years now, I have been revelling in the 'Jazz Hour' compilation 'Teach Me Tonight'. This seems to be quite an obscure an lowly release, but I love it. Recently, I bought a Verve compilation, 'The Definitive Dinah Washington', and although this contains a few tracks that I really enjoy, many just don't do it for me at all.
