Hunter College High School Location Since 1977, Hunter has occupied the converted Madison Avenue Armory at 71 East 94th street, just several blocks from Central Park, in the Carnegie Hill Neighborhood of Manhattan.
Math Department Course of Study. All Hunter College High School students must complete a five-year sequence in Mathematics, beginning in grade 7. Required final examinations are given in June for each of these courses. New York State Regents Mathematics Examinations are not offered at Hunter College High School.

I'm sorry, that sounds so frustrating. You're not alone, I felt the same about having no one else to tell at my school. There's very little information out there about other people's experiences with admissions to Hunter. This board was the closest thing I found. I hope you and your sisters got into your top choice high schools later on.
