12 de ene. de 2007 · All tracks on this "The Very Best of The Ames Brothers" are simply marvelous!!! I remember many of the hits from the 1950's, hearing them on radio and Ed Sullivan Show, Arthur Godfrey Show too. The biography written by Colin Scott was really awesome too. Worth every penny, so glad I bought this CD. I still can sing along with some of the hits too.

Sons of Russian Jewish immigrants from the Ukraine, the Ames Brothers were among the top selling artists of the early 1950s. Their close-harmony style had few equals, producing a chain of Top Ten hits throughout the decade. Born into a large family (five brothers and four sisters in all), the siblings were taught a love for music at an early age.
