Teresa Wright was an American actress best known for her performance in ‘Mrs. Miniver’ for which she received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1942. A much respected actress of her era, she was more than just a beautiful face. Known for her acting skills and dedication to work, she became the only performer ever to be nominated for Academy Awards for her first three films.

Teresa Wright Teresa Wright was an American actress. She was born Muriel Teresa Wright in Harlem, New York City, the daughter of Martha and Arthur Wright, who was an insurance agent. She grew up in Maplewood, New Jersey. During her years at Columbia High School, she became seriously interested in acting and spent her summers working in Provincetown theater productions.
