Elfed High School ( Welsh: Ysgol Uwchradd Elfed) is an 11–16 mixed, English-medium community secondary school in Buckley, Flintshire, Wales. History[edit] Opened in 1954, the school was named after Hywel Elfed Lewis 1860-1953, the renowned bard and scholar who served as Archdruid of the National Eisteddfod of Wales from 1924 to 1928.

Elfed High School is an 11 – 16 community-focused secondary school located in the town of Buckley, Flintshire, North Wales. We currently have 950 pupils on roll, both from within Buckley and from further afield. We enjoy an excellent reputation for academic success and a real focus on student wellbeing.

Excellent Modern Facilities. The purpose-built accommodation was opened at Elfed High School in 1954, with excellent modern facilities in over 30 acres of grounds. We believe we have excellent facilities which enable us to provide students with an education fit for the 21 st Century.
