History. Lady Margaret Hall is one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford . It was founded in 1878 as the first women's college. In 1979 it became fully coeducational and now has a nearly even ratio of men to women. You can learn more about the College's history on this website.

We admitted men in 1979 and, in 2016, became the first Oxbridge college to establish a Foundation Year for under-represented students.
