  1. Dixie Dregs- Unsung Heroes. This has got to be one of the best prog albums ever made. I rarely hear it, or DD in general mentioned. Perhaps they are too “American” for a lot of proggers, hahah. Day 444 is exceptionally beautiful, and the outro from 5:15 to the end is epic and one of the most triumphant sounding things I have ever heard.

  7. 23 de ago. de 2014 · I have always enjoyed the Dregs, but I never owned any of their albums. This was a great way to get my favorite DD album, Industry Standard, and check out two more of their releases. The Dixie Dregs truly occupied a niche like no other: Southern instrumental prog/fusion.
