While living in Tours, Eliza Ross produced two more babies: Maria Elizabeth (Lizzie) in 1867, and Robert Baldwin (initially known as Bobby) on 25 May 1869. There had in fact been two earlier Ross children, both of whom had died in their infancy in Canada: Maria-Louisa (1852) and a first Robert Baldwin (1854-6).
