Bernice Albertine King (born March 28, 1963) is an American lawyer, minister, and the youngest child of civil rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King. She was five years old when her father died in 1968. In her adolescence, King chose to work towards becoming a minister after having a breakdown from watching a documentary about her father.

23 de feb. de 2008 · Coretta King was also involved in the anti-apartheid campaign of the 1980s. By the late 1990s she became an activist for HIV/AIDS prevention and a supporter of lesbian and gay rights. Coretta Scott King suffered a stroke and heart attack in 2005. Never fully recovering, she passed away on January 20, 2006 at a rehabilitation center in Mexico.
