I've been binge-watching Gore Vidal docs all weekend. I just acquired The United States of Amnesia, and as another reviewer put it, it's not as good as the BBC docs Gore Vidal's Gore Vidal. And he's right. It's a lot of rehashing but a nice focus on the end of his life, which may have been equally depressing as his focus on the American Empire and it's inevitable fall.
