The 2006 Turin Olympic Games, officially known as the XX Olympic Winter Games, were a multi-sport event held in Turin, Italy between 10 and 26 February 2006.This marked the second time that Italy had hosted a Winter Olympics, the previous being the 1956 Cortina d'Ampezzo Games. Italy also hosted the 1960 Summer Olympics, in Rome.
