The history of Brasenose College, Oxford, stretches back to 1509, when Brasenose College was founded on the site of Brasenose Hall. Brasenose College is also well known for the performances of its rowing club (the Brasenose College Boat Club), considered one of the oldest in the world (before 1815). Geschichte. Brasenose College wurde 1509 am Ort der Brasenose Hall errichtet, deren Wurzeln wahrscheinlich im zwölften Jahrhundert liegen. Es wurde später um einen zweiten großen Innenhof erweitert, und die Kapelle des Colleges wurde vom älteren Innenhof in ein freistehendes Gebäude verlegt, aber mit den alten Deckenverzierungen versehen.
