In 1969, Ladd moved to London to produce, making nine films. He returned to the States in '73 to become Head of Creative Affairs at Fox. Within three very successful years Mr. Ladd was President of Twentieth Century Fox.

2 de mar. de 2022 · Alan Ladd Jr., the Oscar-winning producer of Braveheart and longtime executive at both Fox and MGM, died on Wednesday, according to his family.He was 84. In addition to winning the Oscar for 1995’s Best Picture winner, Braveheart, Ladd Jr. was perhaps best known as the man who greenlit Star Wars when he was an executive at 20th Century Fox.
