Just want to give a shoutout to Greg "The Drum Doctor" Hohn, who did some very nice work on my 1950s 3-ply Gretsch snare this week. It had some ply separation, and it sounded muddy and choked and weird. I got the drum back from Greg today, and now it sounds like a shotgun. A beautiful, musical shotgun.
