The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), in coordination with the City of Dallas, has been developing a master transportation plan for the Harry Hines corridor from Loop 12/Northwest Highway to north of Spur 366 (Woodall Rodgers Freeway).

Driven by an evidence-based design approach to nature-based solutions, it will transform a 2-mile segment along the Harry Hines Corridor, spanning from Treadway Street to Lucas Drive, into a greener, safer, and multi-modal thoroughfare. It will also construct a 10-acre Green Park at the intersection of Harry Hines and Inwood Road.
A master plan aims to modernize the roadway by adding new sidewalks and bus shelters. The project focuses on a seven-mile corridor between Northwest Highway and Woodall Rogers Freeway. Long-term improvements include a redesign of Interstate Highway 35E and an alternative entrance to the Love Field airport.
