Hace 4 horas · 2005 Camry, I’m trying to replace my intermediate steering shaft. Looking at the new part, I’m noticing that the top u-joint will not fully articulate. The u joint yolk is binding with the other yolk, not allowing full articulation to occur. Kind of seems like a big thing to miss during the assembly process. Hace 1 día · I replaced the bent load shaft on my tractor. There is a pack of shims to use when installing the new shaft. The shims adjust how tight to hold the shaft in the housing by the retainer held in place with a pin. Some one mentioned .010 ths. I would think the shaft should be held tight with no slop. My manual doesn't mention any adjustment.
