Synopsis. New Jersey, 1961. Alice Spages ( Paula E. Sheppard) is a 12-year old girl who lives with her mother, Catherine ( Linda Miller ), and her younger 10-year-old sister, Karen ( Brooke Shields ). Their father, Dominic ( Niles McMaster ), is divorced from Catherine, and has recently re-married.
