  1. Lawrence John Lumley Dundas, 2nd Marquess of Zetland, KG, GCSI, GCIE, PC, JP, DL (11 June 1876 – 6 February 1961), styled Lord Dundas until 1892 and Earl of Ronaldshay between 1892 and 1929, was a British hereditary peer and Conservative politician.

  2. Lawrence John Lumley Dundas, second Marquess of Zetland, was an administrator in India, politician, and author. Zetland was educated at Harrow School and at Trinity College, Cambridge. In 1900, he became aide-de camp to Lord Curzon, who was viceroy of India at the time.

  3. His nephew Lawrence Dundas (1844-1929) became the 3rd Earl of Zetland and subsequently, the 1st Marquess of Zetland. He married Lady Lilian Lumley, daughter of the 9th Earl of Scarbrough. He was promoted to the marquesate in 1892 following his term of office as Lord Lieutenant of Ireland between 1889-1892.

  4. Lawrence succeeded his father as the 2nd Baron Dundas, 14 June 1820 and was created Earl of Zetland, 2 July 1838. His descendents included Lawrence John Lumley Dundas, second marquess of Zetland (1876–1961), administrator in India (including Governor of Bengal, 1917–1922), politician, and author.
