He is best known as the drummer of the rock band the Doors, and as such is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. [1] He appeared on every recording made by the band, with drumming inspired by jazz and world music as much as by rock and roll.
Densmore joined Manzarek and Krieger for The Doors’ induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. He has since authored articles for The Nation, The Guardian, Rolling Stone and Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribnue, Huffington Post, and Utne Magazine.
