Three singles were released off the album: "I Will Wait", "Only Lonely", and "Wishing". Guest musicians on the album include Peter Holsapple, Susan Cowsill, David Immergluck, and Boyd Tinsley .

Holsapple joined Hootie in the studio during recording sessions for their follow-up, Fairweather Johnson, released April 1996, and again for the band’s third release, Musical Chairs, September 1998.
