A Level Courses. Belfast Met is the largest provider of Full-Time A-Level programmes in the Northern Ireland Further Education sector. However, despite our size we take pride in the fact that every student joining our A-Level programmes is made to feel welcome and given the level of pastoral and educational guidance required to make their time with us successful and enjoyable.
Castlereagh College was a further and higher education college in east Belfast. In 2007, it merged with the Belfast Institute of Further and Higher Education to form part of the Belfast Metropolitan College. The site is home to six buildings in total with classrooms for different disciplines.
In August 2007, Belfast Institute merged with Castlereagh College, located in East Belfast, and then rebranded to form Belfast Metropolitan College. It is an exciting time for us all at Belfast Met, as we strive to create a 21st century learning experience for all of our students.
In the early 1990s, these colleges amalgamated as the Belfast Institute of Further and Higher Education which in turn merged with Castlereagh College to form the current Belfast Metropolitan College in 2007. In September 2011, Belfast Met opened a new £44 million campus in Titanic Quarter.
