The Contino Sessions is the second album by British band Death in Vegas, released in 1999. As of July 2013 it was certified gold by British Phonographic Industry for 100,000 sold units in UK. In 2000 the album was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize.

The Contino Sessions. The band's second album, The Contino Sessions (1999), marked a slight change in direction with more attention to live instrumentation than their first and the inclusion of guest vocalists (including Dot Allison, Bobby Gillespie, Iggy Pop, and Jim Reid).

Dot Allison, Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie, and Jim Reid of The Jesus & Mary Chain all turn in eerie, atmospheric performances on their respective tracks. But it’s Iggy Pop on the lead single “Aisha” who steals the album.

Let me cut to the chase here: This record has some kinda cool rhythms, and kinda interesting textures, but aside from the single which you may or may not have seen on M2 (“Aisha”) there’s little that’s very good.
