  2. Without Vladimir A. Dybo, the modern field of Balto-Slavic (but also Indo-European) accentology would not look as it looks today. He was one of the founders of the field, he will be remembered dearly and his works will continue to be a valuable source and inspiration for further generations of Slavic historical accentologists and linguists.
