6 de jul. de 2021 · While we’re waiting for the 4th to dissipate and bring us fresh news, I’d like to take this bit of time to talk about the immensely talented Harriet Wheeler, who fronted The Sundays in the ’90s. With only three albums in release, The Sundays simply vanished from sight.
The band's beginnings came with the meeting of singer Harriet Wheeler and guitarist David Gavurin while attending Bristol University. Wheeler had played gigs with Cruel Shoes, an early incarnation of the band Jim Jiminee .
Harriet Ella Wheeler (born June 26, 1963) is an English singer and songwriter most famous for her work in alternative rock band the Sundays. She is a co-founder of the band along with her husband and guitarist/co-songwriter David Gavurin.
5 de sept. de 2023 · The Sundays had a certain early 90s vibe: jangly guitars reminiscent of the Smiths, lyrics that were just a little bit (but not too) opaque, and Harriet Wheeler’s angelic voice soaring above it all.
