Family Reunion saw Rawls reunited with the songwriting and production skills of both Gamble & Huff and Dexter Wansel, along with the Philadelphia International session musicians and features Lou's cover of 'Unchained Melody'.
6 de dic. de 2006 · "Shades Of Blue" was a cocktail lounge jazz album and suffered from the many flaws that plagued Lou's 1960s Capitol releases. "Family Reunion", however, was an inspired and unified R&B album that should have done much better. "I Wish You Belonged To Me", "Unchained Melody" and the title track were the latter album's high points.
