Im Jahre 1964 gründeten Manfred Durban, Claus Backhaus, Franz Halmich, Manfred Mössner, Manfred Hehl und Hans Springer aus Knittlingen in Baden-Württemberg die Dancing Band, welche sich bereits ein Jahr später in Dancing Show Band umbenannte. 1965 wurde Hans Springer durch Bernd Hengst ersetzt.
The group was formed in 1964 in Knittlingen, Baden-Württemberg consisting of Manfred Durban, Claus Backhaus, Franz Halmich, Manfred Mössner, Manfred Hehl and Hans Springer. They called themselves the "Dancing Band," and one year later renamed themselves the "Dancing Show Band." Hans Springer was soon replaced by Bernd Hengst.
Jörg Manfred Mössner (* 1. Oktober 1941 in Köln) ist ein deutscher Rechtswissenschaftler. Mössner war von 1983 bis 2006 Professor an der Universität Osnabrück und seit 1986 Direktor des dortigen Instituts für Finanz- und Steuerrecht. Von 2007 bis 2016 war Mössner als Steuerberater bei PricewaterhouseCoopers tätig.

At the beginning of the 1990s J. Manfred Mössner started collecting the information about academic publications in tax law and the professors teaching tax law at European universities. By the end of 1996 he had found 92 names and addresses of professors of tax law within the European Union.
