Die Nibelungen ("The Nibelungs") is a two-part German series of silent fantasy films created by Austrian director Fritz Lang in 1924, consisting of Die Nibelungen: Siegfried and Die Nibelungen: Kriemhild's Revenge.
A silent film adaptation of the Germanic legend of Siegfried, the dragon-slayer and hero of the Nibelungen. The film follows his adventures, love, and death, and features a famous dragon puppet and a restored version by Kino Lorber.
Adaptación de una serie de leyendas germanas sobre los nibelungos, seres que habitan entre la niebla. Narra la historia de Sigfrido, hijo de un rey, que, tras forjar una maravillosa espada y convertirse en un hábil herrero, debe volver al castillo de su padre.
Se llama en conjunto Los nibelungos ( Die Nibelungen) a dos películas dirigidas por Fritz Lang en 1924. La serie se divide en Los nibelungos: la muerte de Sigfrido ( Die Nibelungen: Siegfried) y Los nibelungos: la venganza de Krimilda ( Die Nibelungen: Kriemhilds Rache ).
Sinopsis. Sigfrido da muerte al dragón que custodia el tesoro de los Nibelungos y se baña en su sangre para conseguir la invulnerabilidad. Ofrece el anillo de los Nibelungos a Brunilda, Reina de Finlandia y se encamina a Burgundia. Allí pedirá al Rey Gunter la mano de su hermana Krimilda.
