Load, Thrill Jockey. Brian Gibson (born July 25, 1975) is an American musician, artist, and video game developer based in Providence, Rhode Island. Gibson is best known as the bassist for the band Lightning Bolt. In the summer of 2015 he co-founded the game development company Drool.
Gibson directed Helen Mirren in the 1979 BBC film Blue Remembered Hills and his work on that film won him a BAFTA Award for Best Director. Gibson made his feature film directorial debut with Breaking Glass (1980). In 1986, he directed Poltergeist II: The Other Side.
