Its first premises were acquired in Homerton, London in 1768, by an informal gathering of Protestant dissenters with origins in the seventeenth century. In 1894, the college moved from Homerton High Street, Hackney, London, to Cambridge.

  7. Homerton College. Homerton is both the largest and the newest College in the University. With a 250-year history, for much of which we were an acclaimed teacher training college, we received our Royal Charter in 2010 and now offer every subject at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
