Cheltenham Ladies' College (CLC) is a private boarding and day school for girls aged 11 or older in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England. The school was established in 1853 to provide "a sound academic education for girls". [1] It is also a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference.
It is important that College can support each girl in striking a successful balance between academic and co-curricular activity. Links on the right refer to activities, programmes & clubs that complement teaching and learning in College.
Each September approximately 75 pupils - 50 boarders and 25 day girls - join us in LC1 (Year 7 / 11+) from junior schools across Gloucestershire, the UK and from around the world.

Cheltenham Ladies’ College is a down to earth school for bright and adventurous girls who want to excel both academically and in music, sport or drama. As a large school there are plenty of opportunities for everyone who wants to succeed in any area of the curriculum or co-curricular activities.
We are currently one of the largest communities of boarding and day girls in Europe. Today, around 850 pupils from around the world benefit from the knowledge and expertise gained over the last 160 years of putting girls first.
