About Us. NCW is a unique educational setting for children and young people who are blind or vision impaired. As a residential non-maintained special school, we have children from all over the UK and further afield, who have access to education tailored for learners who are vision impaired.
Our admissions programme runs throughout the year and we can can accept new students at any time. Many of our new starters join us part way through a year, into any year group – often the funding process can take longer than anticipated.
New College Worcester (or NCW; formerly RNIB New College) is an independent boarding and day school for students, aged 11–19, who are blind or partially sighted. It caters for around 80 students. It is located in the city of Worcester, England .
New College Worcester is a residential college for blind and partially sighted students aged 11-19 years. Underpinning all that NCW do is the recognition that a young person’s needs are about more than their visual impairment.
Spring 2024. Autumn/Winter 2023. Summer 2023. NCW students inspire railway to introduce a Braille Map at Foregate Street Station. The ability to get around our campus, and the wider world, with confidence is central to the future success of our students.
